SISTER CITY EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Over the last decade, urban citizens have pushed for the revitalization of urban water ecosystems through waterfront developments and beautification projects. However, conflicts have emerged among environmental advocates, infrastructure developers, and the governance system. The “Riverse” project by the Water Environs team aims to create an inclusive branch within the municipal corporation, aligning political will with a comprehensive approach. The ‘River March’ movement has advocated for ten years, engaging with the city’s administration, conducting public mobilization efforts, and organizing workshops to sensitize stakeholders.
